|houston – the Greater Houston Partnership welcomes the Governor of Nuevo Leon, Mexico, José Natividad González Parás, and Guillermo Dillon Montaña, Managing Director of Cámara de la Industria de Transformación de Nuevo León (CAINTRA), for the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two business organizations.|
The agreement seeks to enhance trade and investment opportunities between the Houston region and the state of Nuevo Leon by:
• Developing trade delegations, conferences and business exchanges.
• Exchanging information about available products and industrial processes, industrial training, sources of finance, offers and requests for joint ventures, licensing and identification of possible business partners.

• Providing cooperation and insight in how cargo terminal Interpuerto and I-69 will bring strategic opportunities to both regions.
In 2007, trade between Texas and Mexico totaled more than $197 billion. The state of Nuevo Leon is an important trade partner to the Houston region thanks to its robust population of 4.3 million and its advanced manufacturing capabilities that produce 11% of Mexico’s manufactured goods.
