HOUSTON―A unique Houston treasure located in Hermann Park, Miller Outdoor Theatre has entertained and delighted several generations of Houstonians. Pack a picnic basket, a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the performance from the hill, or sit in the brand new seats under the canopy. All performances are FREE.

One of Shakespeare's greatest comedies, "Twelfth Night" explores love lost and found. With raucous antics, ravishing language and rich characters, the stage is set for a bittersweet tale of laughter and longing.

Here's your chance to see the Ensemble Theatre's 2009 sold out production for free! Join Dorothy and her friends as they "Ease on Down the Road" to the magical wonderland of Oz, each of them searching with all their hearts for a place to call home. This classic fantasy tale is taken in a new direction with an exciting rock score and a decidedly modern libretto that reframes the story, making it relevant to modern times.

Loveable Eliza Doolittle (Audrey Hepburn) is rescued from the gutter and transformed into a genteel young woman by Professor Henry Higgins (Rex Harrison), who bet a colleague that he could turn any guttersnipe into a lady.

Three Nights of Movie Musicals: The Music Man
Presented by the Miller Theatre Advisory Board

Confidence man Harold Hill arrives in staid River City intending to scam the community with his usual scam of offering to equip and train a boy's marching band-even though he has no musical skill-then skip town with the money. Things go awry when he falls for a librarian he tries to divert from exposing him while he inadvertently enriches the town with a love of music.

Three Nights of Movie Musicals: Sing-a-long Mamma Mia!
Presented by the Miller Theatre Advisory Board

Sing along to this ABBA-inspired musical. Longing to discover the identity of her true father before she exchanges her wedding vows, the daughter of a once-rebellious single mother secretly invites a trio of paternal candidates to her upcoming wedding in this feature adaptation of the beloved stage musical.

Jazz: A Tribute to the Big Band Era
Produced by the Conrad Johnson Music & Fine Arts Association

This musical celebration features the Conrad Johnson Youth Orchestra, Young Adult Orchestra and the Conrad Johnson Jazz Heritage Orchestra performing original works by Conrad Johnson and other big band greats such as Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington.

He's clever, he's enthusiastic, he's a can-do guy with attitude-and he's a mouse. Combining live action with groundbreaking visual effects, Stuart Little experiences one hair-raising adventure after another, including a run-in with his nemesis, Snowbell the cat. Stuart learns the true meaning of family, loyalty and friendship in this adventure movie, based on the classic book by beloved American author E.B. White.

Family Nights at the Movies: The Land Before Time
Presented by Miller Theatre Advisory Board

An orphaned brontosaurus named Littlefoot sets off in search of the legendary Great Valley: a land of lush vegetation where the dinosaurs can thrive and live in peace. Along the way he meets four other young dinosaurs, each one a different species, and they encounter several obstacles as they learn to work together in order to survive.

Family Nights at the Movies: Ghostbusters
Presented by Miller Theatre Advisory Board

The hilarious original stars Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd as unemployed parapsychologists who market themselves as "ghostbusters" to rid New York of the monstrous apparitions that are taking over the city. Sigourney Weaver costars as a cellist whose strange apartment happenings lead the ghost-busting team into the clutches of a punitory poltergeist.

Aug. 28 and 29, 8:30 p.m.
*LUMA Light Show
Presented by Miller Theatre Advisory Board

LUMA, the world's first human light show, has been seen on four continents, in a dozen countries and coast to coast in the United States. LUMA brings cutting-edge illuminated technology to the stage combined with a wide variety of disciplines from dance, magic, puppetry, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatics and physics phenomenon. LUMA plays on the fascination we have with lights, from our yearly pilgrimage to fireworks shows in the summer to our reveling in holiday lights in the winter.
