The luncheon will celebrate the greater Houston region and its contributions to our state. It will also kick off the 2009 Legislative Weekend in Houston being held February 6-8. The weekend will provide the opportunity for local business and community leaders to discuss with Texas legislators regional issues challenging our community.
The 2009 Legislative Weekend in Houston host committee includes Texas State Senators Rodney Ellis, District 13; Mario Gallegos, District 6; Joan Huffman, District 17; Dan Patrick, District 7; John Whitmire, District 15; Tommy Williams, District 4; and State Representatives Bill Callegari, District 132; Ellen Cohen, District 134; and Sylvester Turner, District 139.
