|Bracewell & Giuliani's Patrick Oxford to take helm as organization's chair|
Houston – The Greater Houston Partnership will host its 2010 Annual Meeting, formally installing Bracewell & Giuliani chairman Patrick Oxford as its new board chair. Oxford will outline his priorities for the coming year, a cornerstone of which will be the call for the business community to proactively recommit to its leadership role in shaping the region's future.
According to Oxford, "It's instructive to recall what has gone before and, in this case, to recall people like William Marsh Rice, Jesse H. Jones and Monroe D. Anderson who looked past their business interests to the welfare of our community. The Houston region is what it is today because of their and others' commitment to community leadership."
Recognized as the greater Houston region's first business meeting of the year, the event is expected to draw more than 1,200 business professionals and community leaders from across the 10-county area.
