Sugar Land residents get fired up for the City’s 26th annual Red White and Bluefest ready to set the skies ablaze of Oyster Creek Park on Monday, July 4th from 5 to 10 p.m. Celebrate America’s 235th birthday with family, friends and fellow residents while enjoying new main stage performances, more delicious county fair-type goodies and numerous children’s activities.
All entertainment and activities are free and open to the public. A variety of local food vendors will be offering BBQ sandwiches, sausage on sticks, hot dogs, nachos, cotton candy, pickles, sugary funnel cakes and snow cones and much more. These mouth-watering treats, along with water and sodas, will be available for sale at minimal costs throughout the entire event.
Main Stage Program
The electrifying main stage showcases performances by the well-known local band Midstream, and for the first time performing at a Sugar Land Event are young artists Savannah Berry and Kathryn Hallberg, both whom possess raw youthful talent and energy. Also on main stage will be a historical musical quartet with professional actors portraying characters such as Betsy Ross, Paul Revere, and Martha & George Washington in a musical type performance. Also be sure to catch the City’s Patriotic Presentation with welcome remarks by Mayor James Thompson.

There will be plenty of things for families to do with their very own children’s stage. Programmed with cultural performances such as Tai-Chi from the Fort Bend Chinese American Association groups, and Tahitian dances from the local group Keiki Tropical Rhythms, the children’s stage will also feature breath-taking reptile shows, amusing and sometimes comedic magic shows and other vibrant cultural performances.

But the fun doesn't end there. In addition to dual stages, unicyclists, jugglers, and walk-around mime artists there will be stick on tattoo parlors, carnival games with prize giveaways and much more all free of charge. Also be sure to visit the various recycling stations throughout the park to participate in the City’s continuing initiative to “go green”.
106.9 & 107.5 The Eagle
If you can’t wait for the party to start then tune in and join Houston’s 106.9 & 107.5 The Eagle who will broadcast live from the event at Oyster Creek Park from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. They will also have 2 booths at the event with an on-site street team doing giveaways and much more.
Berner Venet Booth
Be sure not to miss the silent auction booth for an opportunity to bid on a one of a kind work of art by the famous artist Bernar Venet whose monumental sculptures are installed throughout Oyster Creek Park.
Parking and Shuttle Service

A free shuttle service will operate from Mercer Stadium, 16403 Lexington Blvd., to Oyster Creek Park from 4:30 pm -11 pm. If conditions permit, parking will also be available on the easement at Oyster Creek Park.
