|The 18th Annual Ballunar Festival and Open House will take place this weekend on the grounds of JSC between Buildings 14 and 44. Please join us for a fun-filled weekend of activities.|
As parking lots become festival sites, please pay attention to cones and barricades in the lots between those facilities. This week, sections of the lots will close to allow for setup.
On Saturday, Oct. 22, JSC will host our Open House in buildings: 7 - Spacesuits and Thermal Systems Developments Labs; 9N - Shuttle, International Space Station (ISS), SEV, MPCV mockups and Orion parachute will be on display; 11 - café, gift shop and Space and Life Science exhibits; 14 - chambers, labs, habitat mockup; 16 - Shuttle Avionics Integrations Lab (SAIL); 29 - Advanced Exploration Systems Development Lab; 30S - Historic Apollo MCR (no Escort Visitor Required Badges permitted), ISS Live Exhibit, shuttle knowledge capture; 49 - Vibration and Acoustic Test Facility; 220 - lunar habitat mockups; and Saturn V - Kids Space Place, Commercial Crew and Cargo exhibits, Astromaterials display, ISS exhibits, environmental partnerships exhibits, moon rocks and more.
The weekend will be full of great exhibits and give a behind-the-scenes look at what we do at JSC. Other events include Disney on Stage, an exotic bird show, live entertainment by Nashville recording artist Curtis Braly and more. Don't forget to include a stop at the Experience NASA tent in the Ballunar Festival area.
Come on out! Gates open Friday at 6 p.m and Saturday and Sunday at 7 a.m.
