The City of Houston and the Greater Houston Partnership invite you to join a Trade and Investment Mission to Beijing and Shanghai, China from July 19-27, 2013. The Mission will be celebrating Air China’s inaugural non-stop flight between Houston to Beijing and promoting trade and investment opportunities with Houston through meetings with local government and business leaders.
The Mission will be led by Mr. Andy Icken, Chief Development Officer for the City of Houston and Mr. Bob Harvey, President & CEO of the Greater Houston Partnership, with participation from Mr. Mario Diaz, Director of the Houston Airport System, and Houston business delegates.
China is Houston’s fifth largest trading partner, and total annual trade grew 8.3 percent, from $11.9 billion in 2011 to $12.9 billion, in 2012. Total trade between Houston and China has grown by more than $11.3 billion since 2000, representing a compound annual growth rate of 19.45 percent.
