Nearly 4,000 firefighters have served the more than two million residents in the Houston community, an area totaling more than 600 square miles, all while saving lives and educating many along the way.
This year, Popeyes will honor the Firefighter Support Network whose critical function is to address personnel needs that come from the stress and tragedy of being a firefighter. Services the Firefighter Support Network provide include counseling for injured firefighters and the families of the deceased, critical incident stress management, mental health counseling and spiritual support among others.
Popeyes will cater the Thanksgiving luncheon with traditional Louisiana inspired fixings—Cajun style turkey, mashed potatoes, Cajun red beans and rice and warm buttermilk biscuits.
In addition to the luncheon and awards ceremony, Houston Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen locations will also provide turkeys to fire stations throughout Houston for Thanksgiving dinner as our way of thanking the men and women who are working on the holiday to keep us safe while we are at home enjoying the holiday with our families.
