|Dear Members and Guests,|
We had a great turn out for our February Lunch and Learn. Those in attendance received an interesting presentation from Phyllis Saathoff, Deputy Executive Director Corporate Affairs, at the Port of Houston Authority. Thanks Phyllis for making the time to address our group.
Next up is our March Lunch and Learn, which is scheduled for Wednesday the 5th. We are very pleased to have Mr Robert Ambrite, Vice President of Hanjin Logistics NVOCC Division, who will give his outlook on the industry but also his take on how the major NVOCC's are "following the steamship model" in the name of "cost savings" and "process".
As a reminder, please remember to renew your ITMA memberships for 2014 and also check our website for details on the upcoming annual Mack Johnson Memorial Golf Tournament taking place on March 26th, at Kingwood Country Club.
On the Scholarship front, our 2014 program is now in full swing. Please be sure to direct any college students you know, that are working towards logistics based degrees, to check our website and register for the program. In addition to the Scholarship Program, we would also like to hear from any companies that might be looking for interns. If this is a need your company has, please contact our Scholarship Director, Jeff Dixon, and he will coordinate in conjunction with the Scholarship Program. Jeff can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to seeing all of you on March 5th.
