2006年的10月1日，是中华人民共和国成立57周年的大喜日子，世界各地的华人华侨、外国友人都在跟中国人民一起沉浸在欢乐之中。一年来的日日夜夜，神六的升天，三峡的竣工，青藏铁路的开通，08北京奥运进入倒计时，神州大地正在发生天翻地覆的变化，休斯敦的华人华侨们也在积极准备，庆祝这骄傲辉煌的日子。

休斯敦全侨庆祝中华人民共和国成立五十七周年系列活动组委会携手世界名人网在国庆前夕举办《A day in China 在中国的一天》中国国庆(China National Day )有奖征文活动。欢迎到过中国在中国工作学习访问旅游过的朋友们把您在中国的精彩的一天大家告诉大家，欢迎大朋友们，小朋友们踊跃投稿。音、影、图、文，各种表现形式不限，涉及语言形式的，各语种都可以，年龄不限，国籍种族都不限。

Open Format Contest

October 1st, 2006 is the 57th birthday of the People's Republic of China. All Chinese people and their foreign friends around the world are going to celebrate this great and unusual day. Everyone is immersed in a festival atmosphere.

This year, with the success of Shenzhou-VI manned space mission, the completeness of Three Gorges Dam, the opening of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, and the beginning of the count-down for 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, China went through a tremendous change. Currently, Houston Chinese community are energetically preparing for the celebration of this pride day.

Warmly and sincerely welcome the people, who have studied, worked, visited, or traveled to China, to share a wonderful day you had in China with us.

The contest is opened to all ages, backgrounds, languages, and nationalities. Format can be but is not limited to essays, photos, videos, etc.
