Lunar New Year Celebration at the Rothko Chapel
Two Buddhist traditions, Tibetan Bon and Nichiren Shu, will be conducting a joint celebration on the Rothko Chapel plaza. Led by Rev. Myoken Caine-Barett of Myoken Temple and Ven. Geshe Denma Gyaltsen and Dr. Aljandro Chaoul of Ligmincha Texas Insitute lead the ceremonies.

Chung-Mei Cultural Forum Presents Taiwanese author Lung Yin-Tai, who will discuss her book The Hidden Hurt: Untold Stories of 1949, which describes events of the year that saw the final defeat of Chiang Kai-shek by the the Chinese Communists and his Nationalist army's retreat to Taiwan. The talk will be preceded by a documentary film based on the book. Lung is a professor of literature at Hong Kong University.
